The Evangel 4500-300 was built by the Evangel Aircraft Corporation of Orange City, Iowa from the late 60's through the early 70's. With a planned first production run of 12, only a total of 8 were built (a 9th was never completed). This site is dedicated to the designer, builders, those who flew and maintained them and those who supported all.

Before 2007 my 3 contacts with the Evangel was as a kid in 1973 and reading an article about it in Air Progress magazine (article posted on this site). Seeing #001 operating in Alaska in 1984 and in the mid-90's running across an old copy of the 1973 article. In 2007 I stumbled upon #006 abandoned in the Western Pacific and those memories of it came back. Finding little about the Evangel in any one location I decided that along with bringing #006 back to the States for future restoration I would take the torch in helping keep the Evangel alive. Have collected some information and posting much of that here but am always interested to collect more in order to tell the most complete story possible. Please contact me if you have any photos, film/video, print and especially personal stories you are willing to share. Thank you, Jed Keck - jed @ 141 . com
